Boréal Tordu is back

Boréal Tordu is back with a new lineup, new songs and a new raison d'être. This music is just plain fun.

Come up to the St. John's River Valley this weekend and you'll find out why Acadians are all about joie de vivre. Madawaska's Festival Acadien starts Thursday, June 28th. Boréal Tordu plays from 7-9 pm. For more details see http://www.acadianfestival.com

Mark July 7th now, especially Douce lovers and our fans who have been clamoring for a Tordu show in Portland. We're only too happy to oblige, especially since it will be at Portland's best new music venue, One Longfellow Square, on the corner of State and Congress Streets. You can't forget the date: 7/7/07 and doors open at, you guessed it: 7 pm. Tickets are of course $7 in advance, a real chance to support local music in a local venue. Tickets are available at Bull Moose Music or online at http://www.borealtordu.com/products.html Please join us.

Acadian Festival in Madawaska - June 24 to July 4

Madawaska will again be the site of Maine's largest cultural Festival. Though we have lost our lovely Acadia, we will never forget her. We will continue to speak her language, sing her songs, and celebrate her traditions;for the spirit of those first Acadians lives on in all of us.

As we do each year, in conjunction with the Acadian Festival, a family reunion is held, celebrating one of the Valley's pioneer families. This year, we are honored to celebrate the Lagacé family.
